The main purpose of geological tests is to determine the soil and water conditions prevailing in the investment area. The number and type of tests depend on the geotechnical category of the building. Each time the design process should be preceded by an analysis of available archival materials and a field visit. Properly designed and performed tests allow you to determine and minimize potential risks associated with its implementation.

According to Eurocode 7 in force in Poland, the scope of ground exploration must ensure the quantitative determination of numerical values of geotechnical parameters based on, among others, laboratory strength and deformation tests. However, in practice, these tests are often not performed.

During the webinar we will answer the following questions

• How to choose the type of drilling and ground probing depending on the expected geological conditions in the area?
• What are the risks associated with implementing an investment in a given area?
• Is the scope of tests carried out in the area sufficient?
